Babirusa is moving to Belltown...but we need your help!
For 6 years Charles Walpole and Rene Gutierrez have operated a small restaurant and bar in Eastlake unlike any other. In early December their lease came to an end and Babirusa was left looking for a new home. Thanks to some long time friends and their generosity, Charles and Rene have their sites set on Belltown.
The new Home of Babirusa will be on 2nd Ave. between Battery and Bell St. where Kushi Bar once was. That means there will be 100+ seats, Charles signature tasting menus on the regular, and a bigger kitchen to play in. What it also means is a lot of work! The roof needs patching, the glorious enclosed patio needs work and insulation so we can use it year round, among other things.
Your generosity, no matter how big or small, will help us open the doors sooner and start serving cracklins, burgers, the most thoughtful dishes you'll experience and the most delicious 7-course dinners you'll ever have.
We have the drive, motivation and team to bring Babirusa to a new level and open in early 2018- all we need is a little push to get us past the finish line.
