Baba's Vegan Cafe Fundraiser
We will be having a home birth, and just finishing up payments. My fridgerator just went out and I am purchasing a new one. About a month ago my stove had to be repaired.
Sometimes things unforseen come up and it happens to all of us. This is a story of resilience and commitment.
Baba's Vegan Cafe will be launching a GoFundMe soon for starting a vegan cafe or food truck in South LA for $30,000. Let us know you are ready by donating today.
We have been doing our Vegan Pop Up for about 3/4 years now and the people are talking, spreading the word. From setting up in front of the World Stage to being inside the park, it was not easy at first. After much consistency and sharing my food with the community, we have become a staple for Leimert Park patrons on Sunday during the Market Place, and for people in the area looking for delicious affordable fresh vegan food. We have grown and shaped with the needs of our customers, now offering a wider array of dishes.
From vegan patties, cooked plates, raw plates, cakes and puddings. We now have 5-6 different flavors of veggie patties; curry potato, spinach/kale, beefy, cabbage, cauliflower, apple and still have more in mind for when we open.
Shout out to the Legendary Leimert Park Drum Circle for keeping the energy alive.
This money will also help with the marketing material and getting the word out further.
As you know the area is changing and bringing in more people from all over. Going from mom and pops stores to more corporate. With your help we too will grow with the change.
The food trucks are looking at anywhere from $15,000- $30,000
Hope you are following us on facebook.
Baba's Vegan Cafe , come out to our weekly vegan Pop Up Sunday Leimert Park.
Our Intention is to create access to healthy food options and wellness based products; to be able to invest and support small local business, and most of all to raise money for Baba's Vegan Cafe's Brick & Mortar in Los Angeles.
We hope to inspire an interpersonal movement, empower the use of intentional spending/ circling the dollar, and to let people know that veganism is accessible even on the smallest scale and a daily movement reflected by choice and information.
