Vallejo Christmas Lights

My father in law Bob Taylor and His wife Linda, have been putting up a Christmas Light display at their home at 817 Glen Cove Road in Vallejo, California now for 16 years in honor of Bob's eldest daughter Debra who died in a tragic plane crash on June 1, 1999. Each year his light display would grow bigger and bigger with the hope one day Debra would be able to see it from heaven. As the display grew bigger so did his electric bill. That didn't stop this retired electrician one bit. He starts setting up the display three months in advance with the help of his wife Linda and work day and night to ensure its perfect for the children that come to see Santa each year. Bob and Linda stand out front each night and greet everyone as they walk through and enjoy his ever growing display and make sure everyone gets a candy cane. They also collect and purchase toys for the Toys for Tots campaign each year working with the Vallejo Fire Department. If you catch them at the right time on the right night you might even see Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive in a fire truck. Bob and Linda Taylor were also selected last year to represent Vallejo on National TV on The Great Christmas Lights Fights where the winner received $50,000 cash price unfortunately they didn't win though we all thought they should have. Bob and Linda do this each year and only ask for a monetary donation which helps go towards the electric bill, replace worn display pieces, and replenish the never exhausting supply of candy canes. This year just after Christmas, a thief, caught on home surveillance video, broke in to the two donation boxes on the property and stole all of the donations. He has not been caught however after the story aired on the local news the public has urged someone to start a go fund me so they can help donate to the Taylor's to help keep his display going for years to come.
