Please help me, help myself

I’m raising money for medical expenses and the travel expences that I have already incurred and will continue to incur. I have been diagnosied with a cycstic neucrotic lymh node which has a 95% chance of being am aggressive malignacy. I went to Helen Keller hospital last Monday, April 16, where they performed a CT scan with contrast. The doctor gave me antiobiotics and told me if it helped, then it might be an absess. Well, it has only gotten worse and larger. They also made me an appointment to see an ENT on May 1.
The saying that nothing is random was made very clear to me this weekend. While at a lake house with a friend, in a tiny town in Tenneessee, I ended up in the ER at Bolivar Hospital. The doctor got my records from Helen Keller, spent a great deal of time consulting with surgeons at several larger hospitals and attempted to do a biopsy. Once certain she gave me the news that I can’t wait until May 1 - it has to be taken out now and it’s going to take a team of surgeons to remove it because is wrapped around, among other things, my corritid artery. In addition to pressing against my esphagus, making me short of breath and energy, it is also diminishing blood flow and oxygen to and from my brain.
I am going to Huntsville Hospital today and pray that they admit me and remove this alien from my neck. The wonderful doctor at Bolivar has already warned me that I have a tough road ahead of me. But, I don’t intend to go down without a fight. With the added strength of some amazing friends helping to hold me up, and hopefully the kindness and generousity of both friends and strangers, I will beat this monster.
But I do need your help. Any amount that you can donate will be both helpful and appreciated. If you know me, you know I’m not one to ask for help. It’s something that doesn’t come easily to me. However, there’s something about the possibility of not surviving that is very humbling. So it is with great humility that I am humbly asking for your help.
