Cindy Brackin's House Fire Recovery

Yesterday afternoon, my mother's house, my childhood home, was destroyed by a fire. Luckily, she was not at home, and no one was harmed**. Only material things were lost. 

The damage is still being assessed, so she doesn't have a real good idea of what her needs are yet. Many people have asked what they can do to help. I'm not completely certain as to her specific needs, as I am in New Orleans, and she is in Pennsylvania. However, I do know that my mother's bedroom took a direct hit, so she is currently without clothing and other personal items.

I am asking for donations to help my mother replace some of the items lost, and to help her get back on her feet. This is a huge loss for my mother. She has worked hard all her life, and bought that house when I was six. We have many fond memories there.

I wish I could be with my mother in her time of need, but I figured that starting this campaign was the next best thing. Please consider donating something- however small the amount. Thank y'all so much.

**Update: My mom was informed this afternoon that her beloved kitty cat Ben did not make it out alive. He was such a sweet loving cat, and I know she will miss him very much.
