For Binyavanga Wainana

Dear Friends
I make this appeal on behalf of a friend who urgently and desperately needs our help.
Binyavanga Wainana is an award Kenyan author and essayist who unfortunately on the 31st October 2015 suffered a stroke. 
Complications from that event have kept Binyavanga at the Intensive Care Unit of the Nairobi General Hospital.
He needs to be flown to Inida where he can get further medical attention and that requires the lump sum of 45000$.
I'm writing you personally to contribute what you can, no single amount is too little.
Another fundraising is going on in Nigeria and will sum up on Sunday 29th Nov hosted by Lola Shoneyin. Whatever little amount we raise will immediately be forwarded to Binyavanga's Kwani Fund which is tasked with securing whatever help Binyavanga can get,
I met Binyavanga during a festival exactly a year and a month ago and since then we became closer discussing various issues about Africa's youth and ways to enhance their development. 
Binyavanga invited me to visit his literary workshop in Nairobi and that is an invitation I intend to honour.
I will be honoured and grateful if at the end of this and thanks to the efforts of each and everyone of us, Binyavanga returns to us with his witty mind, his endearing smiles and his exceptional intelligence
