St. Kilda Sharks R U OK Cup

The St. Kilda Sharks are one of the longest standing women's football clubs in the Victorian Women's Football League celebating 25 years this year. We are arguably one of the highest registered female clubs in the state boasting three senior women's teams and are growing every year. Like the rest of society however our players and their families are not immune to common occurences of mental health concerns and have recently had our Shark family affected greatly by a number of family members passing away through suicide. Women's AFL is a growing force in the media and the Sharks would like to use our profile and our great game to promote the amazing cause that is R U OK Day. Our hope is that we can compete against one of our great rivals and respected opposition for the R U OK Cup and any funds raised on that day can go directly to the R U OK campaign. We would like to commence raising funds to purchase special playing guernseys for the day in respect of our passed family members and with the gold colouring of R U OK. This day of celebration will take place on July 10th and all funds raised will go directly to R U OK. We can't thank you enough for taking the time to read this and hopefully add any amount small or large towards this campaign. I know that the Sharks are more than a club, they are themselves a family and our members would be forever greatful with your support of something that has affected them deeply.
