Parent Cooperative for Early Learning (PCEL) is a not-for-profit preschool and child care facility that has served the Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois for over 40 years. PCEL is collectively owned by our parents, who share the common interests of the care and the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of our children, as well as the smooth and efficient functioning of the co-operative. Parents and guardians voluntarily lead the school in hopes of achieving long term success, teachers manage the day-to-day administration, and both groups jointly implement change for the success of the cooperative.  PCEL is the only parent cooperative preschool on the south side of Chicago.


PCEL has a solid foundation built on community partnerships.  In order to sustain the school for another 40 years, PCEL is undergoing its first major fundraising initiative to help support the school!  A donation towards our goal of $50,000 will help sustain the foundation of the school, which works to support working families in Hyde Park and surrounding communities.  Your donation will ensure that this unique model of parent – teacher collaboration can be supported for years to come, providing enrichment for our multicultural community of young children.  Will you join us with your support today?  Our hope is to raise $10,000 by November 1 and the total amount of $50,000 by April 30.  PCEL is a 501c3 non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.  Thank you for your support of this worthy cause!
