Imagination-based teaching resources

$345 of $1,000 goal

I am a 24 year old street artist who has created many huge immersive artworks in South Australia, Amsterdam and London. I want to raise funds to independently produce interactive digital content that teachers in classrooms will be able to use to assist in teaching, beginning with Japanese and Psychology with a view to expand to broader subjects such as STEM. These will be produced in an urban street art style that I believe students will respond much better to. I am motivated to create funkier, cooler updated teaching resources, materials and graphics as I believe the current standard is pretty low, tacky and unrelatable. Posters, presentations, worksheets and mobile/online games, each developed in accordance with Australian Curriculum will be overseen by in-kind primary and secondary teachers to ensure the resources can deploy into the classroom very easily. Graphic suites (topic by topic) will be available for purchase, adaptation and reuse by teachers, however my primary goal would be the creation of a freely available mobile app. Work is nearly complete on the first Psychology topic and my Japanese project is scheduled to be presented before a major teachers association in May 2019.

Sneak peek of the home screen for the next in the Psychology series which is an interactive .exe (Windows) application 'Intro to Psych' for Stage 2 SACE classes. Teachers have been sending feedback for the trait theory presentation and are making recommendations for future applications. I've finished a few of the modules in Intro to Psych (it's adorable) and am hoping to release early in term 1.
I've also begun work on a Music subject series.

Hi donors! Thanks to your generosity I'm pleased to report that the 1st Psychology (personality) module 'Trait Theory' is nearly complete. I have also been able to begin programming my mural 'Skyworld' for Aldinga Library as a playable game that can be layered over the real mural or on the web. This wouldn't have been possible without your interest and support, donations and/or sharing of the project. Learning materials are being developed in a similar fun style to the Skyworld mural. <3 azz

Progress shot of the interactive scientist showdown portion of my ‘Trait Theory’ Psychology teaching resource. Students learn notable figures, strengths and weaknesses as well as chronological developments in trait theories via a sequence where scientists from across time arrive at an apocalyptic hellmouth to battle with amendments to each other’s research theories.
