#keralafloods Thrissur District

This fundraiser is initiated by Sudheesh M Balakrishnan to raise money to help the many people have been forced to leave their homes in the #keralafloods. Relief camps are being set up but since people have been rescued or forced to leave unprepared the need for supplies such as food, hygiene and sanitary items, medicine and clothes is high. 

If you wish to contribute the money will be spent to provide help to relief camps and supplies to collection centers through Kerala Rescue in Thrissur District. My family are not evacuated and are volunteering in the area. 

Many friends from Europe have reached out to me wanting to help but since Indian government at this point has not requested international help the possibility for foreigners to contribute is limited. Hopefully that will change soon, however help is needed now. 

Kerala rescue is an initiative by Govt. of Kerala, Kerala State IT Mission and IEEE Kerala Section for effective collaboration and communications between authorities, volunteers and public. Find out more on keralarescue.in
