Ayuda para Maracaibo, Venezuela

En estos días, una gran mayoría de los venezolanos está sufriendo una situación de extrema necesidad. La escasez de todos los productos de la cesta básica, la hiperinflación y el colapso de las infraestructuras hacen que la vida diaria sea una lucha constante desde hace años. En la actualidad, cortes de electricidad agravan la situación en el país, causando escasez de agua potable, descomposición de alimentos perecederos y saqueos a tiendas y almacenes. En consecuencia, el suministro ordenado de alimentos en tiendas y supermercados se ha visto en gran parte reemplazado por el mercado negro.  Siendo el sueldo mínimo mensual de 10 dólares americanos, un kilo de pasta, por ejemplo, se esta vendiendo en 2,80 dólares. Hoy en día, en Venezuela es algo normal ver a niños comiendo de la basura.

A las organizaciones internacionales de ayuda se les ha negado la entrada al país, así que la iniciativa privada es actualmente la única opción para enviar ayuda directa.
El objetivo de este llamado es contribuir un apoyo para aliviar la situación a nivel local. Con sus donaciones, planeamos comprar a través de transferencias bancarias cestas básicas de alimentos que se repartirán entre familias con necesidad. Una cesta, que esta calculada para abastecer a una familia de cuatro personas por dos semanas, costará aproximadamente 35 dólares y contendrá los siguientes productos:

            ·    5 kg de arroz
            ·    3 kg de harina de maíz
            ·    3 kg de pasta
            ·    1 kg de frijoles
            ·    1 kg de azúcar
            ·    1 kg de leche en polvo
            ·    1 litro de aceite de girasol

Por nuestro orígen y los colaboradores voluntarios con los que contamos allí, hemos elegido la ciudad de Maracaibo como destino de la ayuda recaudada. Para ese fín, hemos constituido la fundación "Corazones Marabinos". Maracaibo es la capital de la región del Zulia, la mas afectada por los cortes de electricidad.

En una ciudad sumergida a una profunda oscuridad, el desespero y el caos se abren paso. Solo la solidaridad y el compromiso pueden mostrar un camino de esperanza. Agradecemos cada uno de sus donativos, los cuales cuidaremos y entregaremos a su destino. Muchas gracias,

An aid for Maracaibo, Venezuela

A vast majority of Venezuelans is in great need these days. First, it was hyperinflation. Then, an increasing shortage of any basic basket products. Now, the already decaying infrastructure has finally collapsed. Permanent blackouts lasting for days and even weeks are tormenting the Venezuelans. Severe water shortages, decomposition of edibles and looting of supermarkets are the worst consequences. As a result, the sale of the already scarce food has shifted from supermarkets to the black market, where basic products are sold in US dollars at prices that are unaffordable for most people. As an example, the price for two pounds of pasta is at 2.80 $ with the monthly minimum wage (which most Venezuelans receive) standing at 10 $. It doesn´t come as a surprise that children searching garbage for food have become a normal sight on Venezuelan streets.

As the government refuses to acknowledge the emergency situation of its people, international aid organizations have been denied access to the country to date.  Therefore, the only way to help is private initiative.
The purpose of this donation call is to help suffering people on a local level. With your help, we will buy food by bank transfer to make up and distribute basic baskets for families in need. The baskets are calculated to feed a family of four for two weeks and have a cost of 35 $ based on local prices. They will be made up of the following products:

             ·      11.0 lb. of rice
             ·      6.6 lb. of corn meal
             ·      6.6 lb. of pasta
             ·      2.2 lb. of black beans
             ·      2.2 lb. of sugar
             ·      2.2 lb. of milk powder
             ·      35 oz. of sunflower oil

Because of our origin and our local network of trustworthy volunteers, we chose the city of  Maracaibo as the destination for the distribution of the baskets. For this purpose, together with our local volunteers, we established the foundation "Corazones Marabinos" (Hearts of Maracaibo) in this city.  Maracaibo is the most affected city by the blackouts.

In a city immersed in darkness, chaos and despair reign. However, solidarity and engagement can lead a way to hope. We are grateful for each donation and commit ourselves to safely deliver your help to its destination. Thank you very much.

Hilfe für Maracaibo, Venezuela

Dieser Tage leidet ein großer Teil der Venezolaner Not. Der sich seit Jahren verschärfende Mangel an Grundnahrungsmitteln, die Hyperinflation und die zusammenbrechende Infrastruktur machen das Leben dort zu einem täglichen Überlebenskampf. Aktuell wird Venezuela durch ständige, mehrere Tage anhaltende Stromausfälle gebeutelt, die zu Wassermangel, Verderben von Lebensmitteln und Plünderungen führen. In der Folge hat sich der Verkauf der knappen Lebensmitteln von den leeren Supermärkten auf den Schwarzmarkt verschoben, wo die importierten Produkte zu für die Menschen fast unerschwinglichen Preisen angeboten werden. So kostet z.B. ein Kilogramm Nudeln 2,80 US-Dollar, während der monatliche Mindestlohn umgerechnet 10 US-Dollar beträgt. Kinder, die im Müll nach Essen suchen, sind in Venezuelas Städten zu einem alltäglichen Bild geworden.  

Da die Regierung sich weigert, die Notsituation des Landes als solche anzuerkennen, werden bisher keine großen internationalen Hilfsorganisationen ins Land gelassen. Somit bleibt derzeit nur der Weg der Hilfe über private Initiativen.
Ziel dieser Spendensammlung ist es, lokal zur Linderung der Not beizutragen. Mit Ihrer Hilfe planen wir, per Überweisung grundlegende Lebensmittel zu kaufen und gebündelt an bedürftige Familien zu verteilen. Ein Hilfspaket ist so bemessen, dass eine vierköpfige Familie etwa zwei Wochen davon leben kann und wird entsprechend der lokalen Preise ca. 35 US-Dollar kosten. Folgende Produkte sollen enthalten sein:

               ·     5 kg Reis
               ·     3 kg Maismehl
               ·     3 kg Nudeln
               ·     1 kg Bohnen
               ·     1 kg Zucker
               ·     1 kg Milchpulver
               ·     1 L Sonnenblumenöl

Aufgrund unserer Herkunft und unseres dortigen Netzes von vertrauenswürdigen Helfern und Organisatoren für die Lebensmittelausgabe haben wir die Stadt Maracaibo als Zielort der Hilfe ausgesucht. Für diesen Zweck haben wir zusammen mit unseren Freiwilligen dort die Stiftung "Corazones Marabinos" (Herzen Maracaibos) gegründet. Maracaibo ist der Ort, der am stärksten von den aktuellen Stromausfällen betroffen ist.
