Hi everyone,
if you don't already know me, my name is Jess, i am 26 and my Fiance is 28. From the beginning, Ryan and I were told that we were completely healthy and we should "just keep trying" to have a baby. 3 long and heart breaking years later after many trips to the Dr telling them that something is wrong, we were finally referred to a fertility specialist for testing. After a couple of months of testing cycles, ultrasounds and blood work we finally had an answer as to why we have not conceived. As a result of me having a hormone imbalance I am unable to ovulate on my own. This should have been an easy fix although my body does not react to clomid.
I also suffer from an auto immune disease called ankylosing spondylitis which causes chronic pain throughout my entire body. Without medication it is hard for me to move altogether. I have put the medication on hold, I eat healthy and have tried every wives tale to try to conceive and nothing is working. The next step for us is IVF. We are trying to save ourselves but its tough and will be a couple of years by the time we have saved enough. With the progression of my disease I may not even be able to carry a child in 2 years.
