Ella's Congenital Open Heart Bypass

Hello my name is Ella Nance and I am 8 years old. This fundraiser is being created by a very special friend. Here is my story. I was born with an Astrial Septal Defect which is a hole in the septum or wall seperating the upper two chambers of the heart. Also Ventricular Septal Defect which is a congenital heart defect in which there is an abnormal opening in the wall (septum) which divides the right and left lower chambers (ventricles) of the heart. Due to my conditions I am in heart failure. I am having open heart bypass surgery on July 31st 2014 at Childrens Hospital in Peoria. The surgery is expected to take at least 4-6 hours. I will have to stay at childrens for 5 days expecting everything goes as planned and then extreme bed rest for 6-8 weeks. For me this means NO swimming at the neighbors, NO riding my bike, NO rollerskating and No riding my scooter. All the things I enjoy doing the most with my sister Addy and friends. During the 6-8 weeks I will have to travel back and fourth to Peoria weekly for check ups. My special friend has created this page to help fund my family with any expences that will occur over this time. My family and I appreciate any donation that you may decide to make. My special friends are also planning to open an account for me at a local institution here in Ottawa within the next week or so and you can also donate there.
