First, I would like to thank everyone who takes the time to read this..
My name is Ayesha Benton, im 19, I work part time and go to school full time. I attend the University of Cincinnati and i major in biology. My career goal is to become a cellular biologist, but more specifically, a stem cell researcher. (some people may not agree, but hey, it's my dream). Apart of that dream, is traveling out of the country, something that i will get to experience ith a career path such as this, but right now I am making the first steps to do so.
My school offers many study abroad programs, but the one I am most interested in is the Chengdu summer study abroad program, where I will be studying Global Environmental History, and Introductory Chinese Culture. I wanted to take the course this semester, but I wouldve been overworked and probably would've failed it if I tried to...I work hard to get good grades, and to get ahead in life so I can begin to change the world and make someone else's life better.
If I can raise the money in time for this trip, it'ss be my first time out of the country and it'll give me the experience of a life time. I'm doing everything I can to save for it myself, but I know I won't have it in time. I only work 3 days a week, and most of my money goes to my own personal bills, and helping take care of my family.
I'm asking for help because the way things are going, i'm not sure if this will happen for me. I have to have this before februrary, and if not, then it's not happening. Please help me out. Chengdu is a beautiful, magnificent city, that anyone would be lucky to visit, and I hope I'll be lucky enough experience it. Any help at all is appreciated so much, and I thank you so so so so so much for your time and generosity!
