David Compton Memorial Fund
Spende geschützt
Beloved Nashville stage actor David Compton was diagnosed with Melanoma in July of 2014, less than a year after miraculously surviving a cardiac event. He had surgery to remove the melanoma and 10 lymph nodes.
A few months ago, doctors found that the cancer had spread to David's liver, lung, shoulder, spine, and brain. David underwent surgery to remove the brain tumor and plans were set in place to begin radiation and a new cancer treatment. Days after returning home from the surgery, David contracted pneumonia, gall stones, and a blood infection. He was unresponsive and went back to the hospital.
David is working to get back to his old self, undergoing speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy while beginning new cancer treatments and preparing for radiation.
David - also known as Iron Man - is a fighter and a survivor and continues to make progress, but will be unable to work while he is recovering. Unfortunately, real life does not stop for cancer and the bills continue to pile up as we do everything in our power to focus on David's healing. Your support - however small - means time to heal. Thank you.
