GregAnthony battles Leukemia

Donation protected

Help us keep GregAnthony plugged in with school, friends and keep his spirits up while being treated for leukemia. Little Greg, has two more years of treatments.

Kerry and Gregory Brown are the proud parents of two boys, Gregory Anthony Brown II and Kerrington Anthony Brown.  The Brown family was complete with two healthy boys who were full of life and happy boys. They thought everything was perfect until July 27, 2016. On Kerry’s birthday, they were told GregAnthony had leukemia.

GregAnthony is a very loving, caring, and respectful 11-year-old who love life, people, and most importantly, school. You see, GregAnthony loves learning. He will work on school assignments just for fun.  Math is his absolute favorite subject. GregAnthony loves school because he loves learning, but also because he loves interacting and playing with his friends and classmates.

GregAnthony was diagnosed with leukemia shortly before the beginning of his 6th grade year. At the beginning of the year, his chemotherapy treatment didn’t allow him to attend school much and being absent from school was what he hated most about having leukemia.

Otherwise, having leukemia doesn’t get him down much; it’s not being able to attend school that really breaks his heart. Of course, when he is sad, Gregory, Kerry and Kerrington are also sad. As far as getting through the leukemia journey, GregAnthony handles it well, but missing school and interactions with friends isn’t easy for him.
After doing some research, Kerry and Gregory came across the VGO Communications Robot that will allow GregAnthony to be in school interacting with his friends when the treatment for leukemia (chemotherapy) brings his count levels down so much that is it is dangerous for him to be in large crowds or groups due to him being most susceptible to illnesses at this time.

During this time of year, the flu is circulating now in his school, so GregAnthony cannot attend.  The VGO is the perfect interactive tool to allow him to be safe (away from other germs) and still attend school and interact with classmates from the comfort of his home or from the hospital when he is admitted or is having treatment.

GregAnthony is beginning another phase of treatment called delayed intensification where his immune system will be wiped out and during this time it will be almost impossible for him to attend school.  During these next few months, the VGO will be extremely helpful in allowing GregAnthony to keep up with schoolwork and communicate with friends.  This robot will also be helpful to other students moving forward if a student must be out for illness, injury or mandatory leave from school.

Getting a tutor would be just as expensive but will still leave GregAnthony feeling isolated and lonely.

Will you please help us keep GregAnthony plugged in with school and friends and keep his spirits up while being treated for leukemia?

We would like to raise $25,000 needed for the VGO and to help offset his medical expenses in the next 30 days.

GregAnthony's parents, Kerry and Gregory, are the beneficiary of his account.  Gregory, Kerry, Kerrington and especially GregAnthony will be happy for any donation and thank you all for visiting GregAnthony’s GoFundMe page!

Please help us by sharing and spreading the word to help GregAnthony.
