Help Marine Eddie Gray on His Walk

Eddie Gray is an American hero.
Eddie is a Cheyenne Marine veteran. He began walking the perimeter states of the U.S. in 2008, to bring to light issues facing our nation's veterans. As of this writing, Eddie has walked over 7,000 miles and counting with a 100lb military pack on his back. He visits with local politicians at capitols and and troops at military bases nationwide to discuss how we can take better care of our nation's veterans.
Eddie had pledged to be a "lifer" in the USMC, but he was honorably discharged from Camp Lejeune after an extensive sternum injury during a mock ambush. After his full recovery, he began working for the U.S. Forest Service, serving his country at home by fighting domestic forest fires, in an occupation conducive to his training in the Marine Corps. After years of losing brother and sister veterans in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, Eddie wanted to do something significant to show his support.
Not only is his walk beneficial by bringing awareness to veterans' causes, it is also cathartic for him as a meditative journey. He is from the Northern Cheyenne tribe in Montana, which claims a proud ancestry of warriors--throughout the entire history of our country. Per capita of any race in the U.S., Natives have put more of their people into our armed forces than any other ethnic group. Being a warrior is unquestionably in Eddie's blood.
