Philanthropy Painting Project

Donation protected

While working on this 3' X 4' oil on canvas painting titled Inversion based on the photos of Dan Sparagna, I imagined a diffferent approach to selling art.  Rather than set prices and expectations why not give the art away to unsuspecting yet deserving people?      The idea of gifting art is beautiful but not financially feasible.  Given that fact I realized that the sale of limited edition prints could fund the gifting of the original art.  This presents the opportunity to produce high quality reproductions, generate enough revenue to sustain and repeat this process, and brighten someones home with the gift of original one of a kind art.     Jeff Hedges the subject in the painting seemed to be the perfect candidate for my Philantropy Painting Project.  Jeff suffered a lung puncturing fall earlier in the year.  The injury caused him to miss the event and stay in a foriegn hospital far away from friends and family. I hoped this gift would help further the healing process and make his family proud.
If you like the idea and would like to support my efforts with a donation of ANY amount it would be greatly appreciated.  Those willing to donate $60 dollars or more will receive a 20" X 24" high quality signed and numbered watercolor Gicleé print on heavy stock acid free archival paper.  This price includes shipping and is limited to the contiguous United States, and the first 50 donations that are $60 or more.
Thank you for your time and consideration.  With your help I will be able to turn an idea into a reality.
