Hello!
My name is Avril, and I want to become a game and app developer for VR.
I have tons of ideas for all the things I want to build, but I have no formal training or degree in Computer Science.
So this is where your help comes in.
I've done all the research, and I've settled on a program I could complete locally in Seattle for $15,000. That’s almost the whole degree. All 180 credits give or take some that I've already accumulated. It's about $102 per credit right now. I'm only asking for the money that I could use towards the tuition for the degree. I plan on working part time for food and other supplies.
This is huge for me. In the past I've spent so many nights on khan academy, learning python, and Github. I followed code academy tutorials for html, css and watched Youtube videos to try to teach myself Swift. I've followed Harvard's Cs50 series and I've been slowly teaching my self how to program in c# for Unity3d. And now I have the ability to fully be able to immerse myself in going to school and actually getting my degree but the only thing holding me back is being able to fund my tuition. I am first generation American and the first in my family to go to college. I want to lead a great example for my cousins coming up soon and I dream of being able to support my mother and sister by doing something I love. With your help I can make this a reality.
