To officially begin, we want to THANK YOU for even taking the time to check out our Go Fund Me page & for supporting our first full-length album entitled "Whiskey & Sherbet." We’ve been working towards this moment for the last six years &, thanks to you, are finally going to be able to put together our first full-length project that has been in the writing/pre-production stage for over a year. Our goal is to track & mix this record in a professional studio in Memphis, TN to provide the best quality & most authentic, professional sound that we can produce in the next couple of months. We have an estimated release date around Fall of this year (2018)! We had many musical ideas forming as we toured across the country & in January we holed ourselves up in a lake house in Michigan & began formally writing & recording parts of songs with the talented "Magic Mic" Wilson. We put together a formal, yet unfinished project and plan on taking these ideas & perfecting them in the studio to create our first full length album, “Whiskey & Sherbet”
For those who aren’t as familiar with us, we are the band Avon Dale from Memphis, TN. We originated while jamming in a basement at the University of Illinois over five years ago and then moved to Memphis soon after. To get to know us more visit this link here.
Unfortunately, in today’s musical climate it is very challenging for independent bands like ourselves to provide a high-quality, professional recording at a studio that is going to give our audience the product it deserves. While we are swallowing our pride in asking for help to bring this record to life, we know it is a necessary step towards the next level. The complexity & length of recording a professional project, as well as the amount of time that it takes, is another trial that stands in our way and why we are providing donation packages to help pay for the high costs of recording a professional album. We want to make sure people know where their money is going, so in addition to receiving reward packages , people will also know that their investment will be distributed as follows:
