Auzri’s Sickle Cell Journey

My cousin Azuri Kittell is 3 Years old. He’s very loving and playful. He has been in out of the hospital due to him having Sickle Cell Anemia. He has been having pain crisis. He has had to have five blood transfusions since November 2017, three within the last week to help move blood through his spleen. His spleen is now enlarged because the transfusions are not working. Azuri is going to have his spleen removed, which is a major surgery for a 3 year old child. Recently his mother Azizi had to quit her job in order to be with Azuri and his brother Reggie. Azuri requires his condition to be closely monitored. Reggie is 4 years old and he is experiencing sadness from his brother and mother being at the hospital. He is with family while his mother is with Azuri at the hospital. They have also recently became homeless and are sleeping on someone’s floor. The hospital will not release Azuri from the hospital after his surgery unless he has a home to be released to. Help Azizi bring her baby home after his surgery by donating so they can get their own place. Also so these babies can be comfortable again. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
