AUTISTIC SON WHO NEEDS A HEART TRANSPLANT

My son was hit with a virus and attacked the left side of his heart. He only had 10% of his heart pumping. We almost lost him. He was transferred from 2 hospitals and ended up in a hospital that does VAD surgeries which that is what he needed. They placed an LVAD machine on his left side of his heart in order for his heart to pump as it should but now the doctors are telling us that he needs a heart transplant. They are saying that he needs extensive tests in order to receive a heart from a donor. My son is 20 yrs old and has Autism, ADHD, Mood disorder & OCD. We are now receiving bills that my insurance did not cover for his LVAD surgery. My insurance does not cover some of his heart medications so I have to pay out of pocket. My husband works and we are barely making it. We are living check by check. I am unable to work due to being ill with a rare illness. I receive infusions every week. I also have to pay out of pocket for doctor appointments and medications. We barely have money for food and rent. I'm asking for donations for my son. He needs a wheelchair that we can't afford. I'm asking for help so he can get a heart transplant and be placed on the list. Doctors tell me he has a high chance of getting an infection with the LVAD and it could be fatal. Doctors would like to do the heart transplant ASAP since he's so young but the money factor is what's stopping us. My husband will have to miss work and that will hurt us immensely.
