Hi everyone, I am Ashly Sabu. Originally from Kottayam, currently attending university in Townsville, Australia. I have set up this page to collect donations from people outside India who are unable to transfer directly to the disaster relief fund. Kerala, my home state in India is currently going through a devastating natural disaster.
The death toll brought on by floods, landslides and bridge collapses has jumped to over 300 according to officials. The actual counts could be much worse as the situation is ongoing, many people have also been reported missing.
Hundreds of villages have been flooded, more than 10,000 kilometres of roads and thousands of homes have been destroyed or damaged across the state.
I have created this gofundme as this is an easier way for everyone to donate from outside India.
I will be transferring all the donations to the Chief Minisiters Distress Relief Fund or to another organisation who are directly helping victims of the disaster.
