AUSSIE tennis player pursues Dreams

Hey all!
My name is Jackson Varney and I'm a tennis player. I'm 24, from Melbourne Australia. I am at a tough financial point in my life, on the journey alone away from my family who I have not seen for 2 years and feel pain in my pride to have to ask for help.
I have been playing since I was 10 years old or so. Tennis is my love, passion and everything.
Over the last few years I've been set back by many things including injuries, family emergencies and I suppose Life expectancies (degree/university).
I moved to Europe and to play in a club in the German Liga, where I am lucky to have team mates in the top 300 ATP and a club that has supported me this summer and enabled me to grow as a player and person. I play tournaments nearby to save money (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium). With your help, I hope to play in a professional tournament every week for the rest of the year across europe, the middle east, Asia and end up in Australia for Christmas, see my family for the first time in 2 years and get to see my little sister graduate high school.
- Tennis Expenses -
Where is your money gonna go?
Tennis is expensive! A sport with very few club sponsors.
$ 700-800: Tournament clothes ($90). Entry fees $35 to $50 each play.
Shoes - $600 + a different pair for every surface (clay, hard, grass, carpet $100 each.)
$600+ Tennis rackets - a pro needs at least 4 on the road, because strings break once a match, once every 2 if lucky. Restringing costs $10-$15 which I am paying every day or every 2 days. A reel of strings costs $100 - $250 .
I try to sleep in the car when i can or camp to save on accommodation costs . Naturally food $20 a day.
The funds I am trying to raise with your help will go towards these expenses. I have now moved to Europe trying to make the tournament life a little easier with travel and accommodation and also to play for a club here in the German Ligaduring the summer but when my lease is up I endeavour to use couch surfing and other cheap alternatives to make the next tournament possible!
I am currently training full time 30-40 hours a week including gym, conditioning and on court training, then in my spare time I coach tennis to keep my self afloat and try to save.
- Accomplishments -
I started at the age of 10 since 11 played in the national championships every year onwards til I was 18.
When I was 16 I made my best ranking in Australia being top 10 in juniors, I made the Australian Open Juniors Draw.
In my 4 years in America we won conference twice and made it to the national tournament.

“Varney was awarded Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year honors at Prairie View. The standout athlete went 5-0 at the SWAC championships in the No.1 singles position.” Google

Last year I won 21 out of 24 of my matches here in Germany.
This year Ive defeated a player top 1500 in the world, and have gone undefeated in Liga, doubles and singles.
Just quickly, to answer maybe a lingering question -
I am not from a rich background, I was lucky enough to have my parents help me in my junior years in my junior years both financially and emotionally and although they still continue to this day supporting my dreams, the financial facet is something I won't ask more of them, i'm now on this endeavour alone.
Pro sport is tough and I will take the risk and work hard for my wins.
I humbly ask for donations of any size no matter how small to help me pursue what I cannot live without. Even if you cannot donate, to share this around would mean the world to me! It took a lot for me to try this avenue but I am at a loss and will do anything to succeed in what I love.
