We have started this campaign for our daughter Lexus who is 13 years of age. She is a very talented football player - a very talented goalie.
She has been playing football since she was five years of age.
In September 2016 Lexus was selected to represent the South NSW Futsal (indoor soccer) team at the National Futsal Competition in Brisbane.
This was the first time that Lexus had played Futsal. She was the goalie.
During the National competition there were selectors for the Australian Futsal side watching all the players. This was not known to us. Lexus just went and played as she ordinarily would do.
Only days after the National competition finished we recieved an email that Lexus had been one of 20 girls selected to represent Australian in Futsal in the UK in April/May next year,
The cost for the trip is $7500.00 - we come from a very modest family background and have never done anything like this before - we are asking the help of the community to get behind Lexusand help us send her over there to represent her country.
Any contribution will help, and all money raised will go to the cost of the trip.
This opportunity is an opportunity of a lifetime and it would mean a great deal to not only just us but Lexus - who is still lost for words on this selection.
