LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH & spread the ALOHA

I want to share my BFF Denise Mirafuentes's journey most importantly to bring awareness to Sarcoma cancer.  Denise was initially diagnosed with soft tissue Sarcoma April 2008 and was treated with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery for the remainder of that year, she suffered and the treatments didn't cure her disease.  In January 2009 she began a clinical trial in Santa Monica, CA requiring her to travel across the ocean from Hawaii to the mainland every 3-6 months.  On her most recent visit in June 2014 the tests unfortunately found recurrence of sarcoma in her pancreas and back.  Denise started her 1st cycle of chemo last week, it's unknown how many cycles she has ahead of her, but anticipating to be in CA for 6-8 months for treatment away from her family and loved ones.  Husband Brandis will be with her, they have had to rent a small apartment close to the clinic she goes to for treatments, this additional temporary housing expense will impact their finances tremendously.

Denise's spirit and positive outlook on life is mind-blowing at times, her courage and optimism is inspiring and she continues to touch so many lives with her "Aloha" and inspiration!

Denise's desire is to bring Awareness to Sarcoma!  While helping her do that, I am reaching out to raise funds for the additional housing costs (minimum 6 months @ $1,700).  Although I know Desise would never ask for financial help, I know in my heart that she will be so so grateful not only for every dollar, but also for every prayer!  I decided to pursue it this way to reach as many of her friends as possible.
