Falcon Trip to Washington D.C.

We are students at Falcon Early College High School in Odessa, TX.  We are a new school and this is our third year in existence.  There are 13 of us that are a part of an after school group, Atlas XIII.  We have a science experiment that has been selected to performed on the International Space Station.  This opportunity is from the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP) which is a program of the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education (NCESSE). 

Out of our district, a total of 8 proposals were submitted to be picked for the three finalist's spots.  Our school won all three finalists spots!  We will have an experiement launched to the ISS to be performed by the astronauts living there!  As part of this honor, we have been invited to Washington D.C. to present our proposals at the National Air and Space Museum this summer!

All 13 of us students are going on the trip along with 7 adults (as our sponsors).  We are estimating $35,000  to cover everyone's flight, hotel, food, and sight-seeing during our feild trip.

We understand that we will not likely earn all the money needed, but we need to try.  Without donations, all of us will not be able to attend the trip.  We will be forever grateful for any donations that we receive.  Thank you for taking the time to read this and we are already grateful for any donations we receive!
