Hello everyone! I want to talk about why we are here today trying to raise money for the Atlanta Georgia Table Tennis Association! AGTTA, Inc. is a Georgia 501(C) 3 corporation and as a charitable organization will provide tax documentation for all contributions that have an email address. We are trying to expand our current facility in order to help us build the Table Tennis Mecca of America. We want to be able to build more table tennis olympians!
What we desire is to build a facility in Atlanta Georgia where Table Tennis enthusiasts can come to play, and where we can be open 7 days a week. Where we can increase our capacity to promote and play Table Tennis.
We provide free lessons to the community each Sunday, free National Collegiate tournament play, free High School tournament play throughout the year, and we provide and operate the Georgia Games each year free of charge to the State of Georgia. We also provide and operate an African tournament each year, this attracts African-Americans and top players from various countries in Africa.
We want to expand these capabilities in the Atlanta Metro area, but are at capacity for the current facility and for the number of tables we have, 17. We need a place with 7 day access and at least 30 tables in order to provide the free services we currently provide, and host the 9 tournaments each year. Our USATT Sanctioned tournaments are heavily attended and operating at full capacity currently. With expanded space and tables we could attract even more world class players with higher prize money pools.
With expanded space and tables we could satisfy many needs that we turn down presently because of our capacity limitations. Corporations and individuals are turned away currently purely because of capacity, but are still a steady stream of interest in playing at our club.
