Hello everyone! My name is Ashley Aucoin and I am the girlfriend of Peter Vince. Peter is a man like any other I've ever known, He is so full of life, and always puts others before himself. Peter is incredibly strong in his faith. The way he lives his life and represents what it means to be a Christian, truly sets an example and inspires me everyday to be a better person. Just today someone told me "He is absolutely one of the finest young man I have ever met in my life". This speaks volumes about who he is as a person.
Peter has recently begun his educational career to become paramedic, following his passion of helping people. As the program began Peter started to get sick, it started with a dry cough and a very sore back and eventually he was getting fevers every night. After going to the ER and being looked over by an absolutely incredible doctor (Dr. McLachlan) who I am absolutely convinced is a Godsent. She sent Peter for many tests and pushed for them unlike any doctor I've seen before. Ultimately they lead up to the diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It is so hard to think that someone so giving, active, and selfless is going through something so hard and debilitating.
I have started this fund in hopes of helping covering some of the out-of-pocket costs that are going to be associated with his medical treatments, bills & trips to Halifax. Peter and his family have been overwhelmed with the amount of support, prayers, cards, gifts, and posts that we have received, and we thank you. If you feel led to give in any way, in any amount, we would be extremely grateful. Any prayers would be extremely appreciated. Thank you again and we look forward to the day when Peter can say he is cancer free.
