Asti Fundraiser

Hello, our names are Hiba Salman, Aribah Rahim and Drishti Sachdev. We are a group of grade 11 students located in Vancouver, B.C. that are trying to raise awareness about the continuous epidemic behind acid-based attacks.

We have partnered up with a non-profit organization called, Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTi), that not only treats acid victims but strives to end acid assaults by reforming government laws in countries where acid throwing is prevalent. These countries include Pakistan, India, Nepal, Uganda, Bangladesh, Colombia, and Cambodia.

Pakistan and India are our homes, which is why we chose a topic close to our hearts. We also wanted to raise recognition about acid-based violence in Vancouver where it is not seen nor talked about much. As high school students, we want to encourage our peers to stand up for a cause and use their voices to advocate for those who need our help.

We believe in equal rights among genders and are passionate about humanitarian work-ethics.  As a result, we have decided to do a fundraiser that specifically focuses on ending acid-based violence. We hope to inspire others to also do the right thing and stand up for those who suffer day and night.
Our goal is to raise $5000 that will all be donated to Acid Survivors Trust International in hopes to support their journey.

Thank you so much for your donations. Every amount will be going towards something amazing.
