Assist the Arts

As the pageant for Miss Pitman approaches, I would like to implement my platform as Miss Fire Company #1 to hopefully raise money in order to assist the arts. As an actress, the arts have had a huge impact on my life and have even assisted me in finding a career path I would like to pursue in college. I have been performing in Pitman at the Broadway Theatre, the Pitman Middle School, and the Pitman High School stage for over 5 years, and have now continued my journey to the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia for musical theatre and acting classes. My first goal for my platform ‘‘Assist the Arts’’, is to raise 2,500 dollars to donate to the ‘‘Arts Action Fund’’ to allow underprivileged children regardless of their race, creed, or color to increase their arts education. An arts education includes art, music, dance, and theatre. Each donation will allow these students to have scholarships, music and dance lessons, and an arts education. I believe everyone deserves to express creativity through the arts and have a well rounded education that includes the arts that I was very fortunate to have at such a young age.
