Changing the lives of the Disabled

$605 of $325,000 goal

Raised by 10 people in 4 months
Thank you for taking the time to read our plea for help. We are fundraising for the Nguyen Nga Center, a non-profit charity which has a goal to construct a new Center for vocational programs/education for children and young adults with disabilities. For many families, the burden and cost are far out of reach to provide adequate care for their children who live with disabilities. There are few Programs available in Viet Nam, government or private. With this reality many children may not get the opportunity to change their lives. The children and families may have to face life with little hope of a better life.

This year the Center is celebrating its 25th Anniversary of helping children and their families in our community which is located in Binh Dinh Province, Viet Nam. Children and young adults who attend NNC are taught and given valuable life skills which enable them to be productive members of their community, allowing them to provide not only for themselves but for their families as well. The benefits of doing this are tremendous to the students, families and community.

Support and donations from you will allow us to continue to make a huge impact on the lives of so many people. Any and all donations go directly to completing construction of a new building to allow us to continue Programs at the Center. We cannot continue to help families without the humanitarian and generous donations from amazing people like you. Please, if you can make a donation of any size it will be greatly appreciated by all of us here. If you cannot make a donation we kindly ask that you share our story with your friends and family within your social media circles, perhaps someone you know is wanting to make a donation to our appeal or to further share NNC Story. Your small action can make a difference in the World.

“ I used to Pray that God would take care of the Poor, or do this or that,
but now I Pray that he will Guide Me to do whatever I’m supposed to do, what I can do.
I used to Pray for answers, but now I’m praying for strength.
I used to believe that Prayer changes things,
but now I know that Prayer changes us and we change things ”

Everyday Ms. Nga stands up to bullying of People with Disabilities. She knows the laws to assist the Disabled and communicates that to them and those in the community who are not aware of the laws. Through the programs at the Center she instills confidence and pride in them. She promotes interaction between those with disabilities and the community. She understands knowledge is power and she wants to educate everyone, students and community, to the capabilities of People with disabilities.

Talk about paying forward, Ms. Nga receives a modest salary at best. Often her salary goes to help fund programs or give assistance to someone at the Center.

Ms. Nga needs your help to continue helping people with disabilities!!

I am asking you to stand beside her. To let her know that there are others in this world who stand up to bullies. Please share her story and this campaign with your family, friends and social media and give what you can afford, no matter how small, so that Ms. Nga can continue to help people with disabilities to live a better life. Continue educating the community so those who are a little different are accepted, not ridiculed and shunned.

The Holiday Season is fast approaching.
The gift you give may be eligible for a tax deduction. Asia Connection Inc., is a registered 501 (3) (C), non-profit charity. All funds raised through this campaign will go to the NNC Building Fund.

Hi Everyone,
My update today is a video of the impressions of a young man who recently visited the Nguyen Nga Center.
He graciously made this video of Ms. Nga telling her story of the birth of the CENTER.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has donated to the NNC Building Fund to date.

The Holiday Season is fast approaching. Please open your hearts and share your blessing by responding to our plea to build a new Center to enable NNC to continue to provide opportunities for people with disabilities in Binh Dinh Province.

ACI is the administrator of the Building Fund and all donations will be used as indicated in our appeal.
Any amount will be appreciated and donations are tax deductible as allowed by Law.
Thank you for your attention and compassion.

I check the Campaign often to see if there has been interest in our campaign.

I had been telling myself I can’t do any fund raising, I do not know what to do and I don’t want to ask people for money. Everyone has had the experience of going to a lender to get a loan for your home, business or car. You get the most dismal feeling asking someone for money.
I am thinking, how do I motivate people to give away their money. I hope you are not saying my donation will not make a make a difference.
Then I realize I could be the best motivational speaker there is and your still not going to respond. It’s not my words or how I say them, it’s if your heart is open to “ Listen to the Agony of Mankind.”
I want to thank the ones who have displayed courage and responded to my pleas. I can only hope with all my rhetoric it will challenge everyone else to search your hearts and help those in search of a happy life.

This campaign is to construct a Center that will provide opportunities, not a handout, to those who live with disabilities. I have looked at campaigns for animal assistance and marvel at the response they get to their appeals. I sincerely hope that everyone feels just as much compassion for those with disabilities who want to learn skills that will serve them through their life. Skills that will build their confidence, self-esteem, pride and provide them a productive life.

The amount required for the new Center is considerable, but compare it to the median cost of a single-family home in developed countries. The new Center will be a 5-level building that will be handicapped accessible that will provide hope and opportunities for hundreds with disabilities.

It is hard to give to an unknown. Learn about NNC and its Founder/Director. Experience her love and devotion to those with disabilities.
You don’t think she said, “ How can I help, do I have the skills to make a difference, where will I get the money, and who will help and support the dream of NNC ?
She had the courage to pursue the dream 25 years ago when she had nothing. She has made a difference in so many lives already.
Now she is asking you to have courage and please help her to be able to extend her arms to many more.

I have included pictures to illustrate why a new building is needed. During the Monsoon Season which can last up to six months the rain is leaking through the ceilings and walls.

We received gifts, encouragement and assistance from friends in Australia. Thank You, Thank You.
This week some previous students who had not completed training have returned and new students have enrolled at Center; blind, deaf and mentally challenged. It emphasizes the need for a new building for the Center. Co Nga cannot say no to those who come looking for a better life for their children.

" No words needed, just sit and think about it! She doesn’t know it’s a statue, or the story of Christ. She just sees suffering and wants to help! .... Why can’t we be like this child ????? "

Please help us make the dreams and hopes of these children become a reality. Thank You!!!
