Buy a Van, Give Freedom

Donation protected
The idea for Beza Threads began in 2008 through a firsthand encounter with slavery in the streets of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A group of Iowa college students on a summer trip discovered a district where block after block was lined with tin shacks and young girls ensnared in prostitution. Many of them between the ages of 10 and 17 waited to be chosen at an average price of $1 per encounter.  Since then, Beza Threads has been striving to help bring freedom to boys and girls trapped as slaves in prostitution or sweat shops. Partnering with Hope for Children Ethiopia (HCE), Beza has been telling the story that often goes unmentioned in the United States.

Hope for Children Ethiopia (HCE) rescues thousands of children every year providing them with a place to live, food, education, and most importantly, hope for the future. Fortunately, almost all the funding of HCE goes to provide freedom to as many as possible. But this means they don't always have all the resources they need.

Ashworth Road Baptist Church, in partnership with Beza Threads, is working to raise money to help buy a van for HCE. Ashworth Road has set an aggressive goal of raising $10,000 within the church but knows that goal will only be a drop in the bucket to getting HCE the transportation they need.

We are asking our friends, family and neighbors to help us raise an additional $10,000 (or more) to get HCE the van they need. Will you join us in raising the much needed funds to support such a worthy organization that daily brings freedom to those in desperate need?
