We are starting this Go Fund Me page for one of my dear friends, Jenn Bancroft, and her daughter, Ashlyn. Ashlyn is a 14-year old girl, who prior to contracting a life-altering, un-diagnosable disease, was a straight-A student, fantastic 3-sport athlete, and more importantly, a smiling, happy young girl with great friends and family.
It is still unclear what has happened to Ashlyn since her symptons began a year ago. Since then, every aspect of Ashlyn’s health has declined to the point that she can no longer attend school or participate in any activities.
Ashlyn suffers from a severe non-stop migraine every day. She experiences dizziness, passing out inexplicably, focal seizures, skin rashes, ringing in the ears, deafness, blindness, severe back pain, lack of energy, chronic fatigue, muscle pain and weakness, joint pain, confusion, memory loss, comprehension issues, depression, burning sensations in her body, numbing in her body and face, and even temporary paralysis in her legs and arms. Her central nervous and auto immune systems are shutting down.
Ashlyn has been to countless doctors, tried various medications, and been admitted to two different hospitals. None of the doctors or hospitals have any answers or solutions.
The Bancroft’s are a wonderful family, and they are struggling physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially because of what has happened to their daughter. Ashlyn is currently seeing a holistic doctor, an acupuncturist, a neurologist, a cardiologist, a rheumatologist, and a Lyme specialist. Needless to say, the Bancroft’s are going to continue to search for answers until Ashlyn is well again. It goes without saying that this entire situation is costing them thousands and thousands of dollars, which they don’t have. The bills have already piled up and continue to accumulate.
