Ashley’s Chronic Illness Page

$5,000 goal

One of my best friends of 26 years has been facing a battle with her 16 year old daughter, Ashley, who has a chronic illness.

She has been diagnosed with the following (we are hoping to bring more awareness to these) -Dysautonomia, Connective Tissue disorder, and Chiari 1 Malformation of the brain. She is working through management of symptoms including managing chronic nausea and vomiting, blood pressure spikes and plummets with position changes, and PT to build connective tissues that support everyday function and many other things. She has a fractured knee that they have no idea how it happened and migraines.

The doctors are using many forms of medications, along with natural supplements to treat her. She is considering being part of a study at children’s that they feel may give her more natural alternatives for long term treatment.

She has been through multiple tests and procedures to finally get to a point of diagnosis, which led to countless days and nights at the hospital and doctors appointments. This has created a financial burden on their family, due to the inability to work and provide for their family of 6. They are some of the most wonderful people I know and would give the shirt off their backs to anybody in need. Their time of need is now and any amount donated would be a wonderful blessing for this beautiful family. If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please say prayers for sweet Ashley.
