My name is Ashley Duncan. I'm a Yoga teacher, my passion is to help others and make an impact where I can. My last humanitarian trip was in 2015, where my team and I rebuilt a secondary school that was destroyed in the earthquakes that devastated the country.
I make these trips because I believe that one person can make a difference. Realistically though, I can't do it without your help. So as one person, I hope to inspire you to want to be apart of the change in aiding rural villages around the world. With your donation, I will be able to accomplish The work I am setting out to do.
In December I will be Heading over to Thailand to work with rescued elephants and then over to Cambodia where I will be teaching English in schools. All the while teaching yoga to women and children to help build confidence and bring enjoyment to these remote villages, and bring down medical supplies to treat small wounds as health care is sometimes nearly inaccesssible for some villages.
I am also trying to apply for a grant with Yoga Without Borders to bring one of their campaigns to both of these countries that was initiated in 2016 called, "Pads Matter." I will also be connecting with some of the local women as Yoga Without Borders has grants they can apply for to start their own businesses.
Like with Nepal, I will be bringing out school supplies, medical supplies, toys, clothing and hopefully some donated yoga mats! Some donations have already been pouring in but I need your help to send me there. Every donation makes a difference and I really hope you'll be a part of this change. Thank you for your time.
