Ashleigh is a young horse trainer and competitive 3 Day Eventer. She was competing at the Preliminary level on her horse Pip at the Area VII Championships this past weekend. She was sitting near the top of the leaderboard when her horse took an unexpected fall between fences in the Cross Country Phase. Ashleigh was injured and unresponsive at the scene. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where Doctors were able to stabilize her. She is slowly making progress and will remain hospitalized awaiting further testing. The severity of her brain injury is undetermined at this time. We will do our best to keep you all updated as we know you are as worried about her as we are.

Edit: Due to Ashleigh having had a mini stroke and brain bleed we have decided to raise her goal due to an estimated prolonged recovery time! Ashleigh’s close friends and family would like to extend their gratitude for all your donations and well wishes during this uncertain time. It is truly so comforting to know we have eachothers back should we ourselves ever need it❤️
Additional note: Pip is unharmed. She was evaluated by a veterinarian and is patiently waiting at home for Ashleigh’s return.
All donations will be directly deposited into an account that Ashleigh herself or her family chooses. Funds will be used to help cover some of Ashleighs medical burdens such as emergency transportation, emergency stay, testing and ongoing care.
