Ashdown-Ingram Western QLD Flood Appeal

Donation protected

With our friends in North West Queensland experiencing the heart breaking loss of their livelihood, homes and infrastructure after the devastating floods of February 2019, the long hard road to rebuild has begun. These communities battled drought for over 5 years before this once in 500 year event destroyed all of those years of toil within a week.

Ashdown-Ingram, Repco, and our other business units along with the help of our valued suppliers, staff and the Auto Electrical and Mechanical Industries of Australia are combining to try and assist in some small way our friends from the west.

We have partnered with the amazing people from Blaze Aid who are a 100% volunteer organisation that assist property owners all over Australia to rebuild after natural disasters. They currently have 3 camps set up in the area assisting over 80 property owners . Their ultimate goal is to help over 200 properties in the next 6 to 9 months.

Blaze Aid work shoulder to shoulder with the people who need it most and contribute more than just people power. Their presence provides the ultimate statement -  'You're not on your own' no matter how bad the current situation may seem.

Blaze Aid will help us in two ways:

- Distribute numerous products donated by our group and it's partners directly into the hands of those that need it most to help them rebuild their properties.
- All of the money raised will be donated directly to Blaze Aid for them to continue their great work with the community.

All money raised will be presented to Blaze Aid at the Flood relief charity concert held by Quentin and Sandy Kersh in Townsville on May 25th.

BlazeAid is registered as a charity in all states of Australia and complies with all government statutory requirements.  Through the vetting of farmers who register for assistance, they have a good knowledge of what is required and sound processes in determining the eligibility of each farmer.  Since the inception of BlazeAid we have worked very closely with local charities, and local government and non-government organisations to assist land owners affected by disaster conditions.

BlazeAid has been successfully assisting farmers affected by drought, fire, cyclones and floods for many years. For more information on Blazeaid, click here
