This group is about me "Asad Koriya" a dream chaser and architect in the making, on his quest to achieve great heights "literally".

I'm currently going into my 3rd year of University and I am studying Architecture in North Cyprus at Cyprus International University.

We have laid a beautiful solid foundation these past two years and I thank my parents for the excellent job they have done this far but sadly we have hit a plateau as the funds have run dry and with the current Zimbabwean situation which is proving to be very challenging, I'm unable to continue my studies. It would be a tremendous loss to have to throw all this hard work down the drain, however I hope and pray upon reading this, family, friends and people of the community, far and wide will come together in this cause.

Registration at my Uni already started today! Sept 24th 2018 and I'm currently stuck here in Harare with no flight and no tuition for the year!

I'm kindly asking for any sort of contributions to the total amount of $5 500 USD which will cover the tuition fees and accommodation for a single academic year. All contributions will be greatly appreciated.

My Uni does take instalments with the first being $1 500. These have an added interest rate if the full amount isn't an option right now.

Dear family. I know it's been a while since we have spoken‍♂️ I'm alive and well. Ever since the day I returned back to Uni "end of February" it's been like sticking your hand into a magicians hat, you just never really know what's going to come out.

Besides my pending student permit "due to change in systems when I was away" all other registrations procedures were successful. It was nice to see familiar faces and get back to the architectural studies. The catching up process is like jumping on to a moving treadmill, you have to match the pace in a second otherwise you going for a spin and not in a good way. Lol .I'm proud to say I haven't fallen even though I'm running on the edge. The struggles still continue as Zimbabwe becomes more challenging with the Bond currency and USD rates. As well as Northern Cyprus having it's own fair share of obstacles for international students. My heart pains for my brothers and sister who suffer because of these hardships. Remember them in your prayers.

On a lighter note hope the Easter break was joyous not forgetting the Independence of Zimbabwe holiday as well. Stay safe and God bless❤

PROGRESS leads to SUCCESS!!!!

Firstly compliments of the new season to everyone and i hope y'all had an awesome and blessed festive period.

Good news I have successfully managed to get my visa that will allow me safe passage back to university in North Cyprus. We have also received a very generous donation that has covered the balance needed for my 3rd year of university and I have also been able to secure a better laptop in a swap and top up deal a much needed tool of the ”architectural struggle“ lol.

All this would not have been possible without everyone on this campaign and I am truly grateful I can’t thank you enough.

I am currently planning on booking my flight for around mid February which will give me enough time to settle in and prepare for the semester beginning 1st March.

Sadly this update is a few days late due to the current situation in Zimbabwe “shutdowns including social media platforms, internet as a whole and daily businesses as well” and so this update was possible with the use of a vpn.

I kindly ask you spare a thought and a prayer for the loving people of Zimbabwe in this time of need. Thank you once again and God bless ❤

Greetings beautiful people. So after some deep thoughts and discussions with my uni we felt it best to freeze my semester until the next intake which is February 2019. The reason for this decision are as follows. We managed to withdraw the money from the gofundme site and it arrived in our account on the "Friday 19th of October” so grateful for that. Next we would have sent the money to the uni and that would take 2-3 business days. After that I would take the proof of payment which was needed to process my transit visa back to Cyprus. The visa would take roughly 10-14 days. Not forgetting the 2-3 days for preparations and travelling to Cyprus. That would have brought us to roughly the 6th of November which is today. Now remember my classes started on the 1st of October meaning I would be essentially 5 weeks behind on assignments from about 6-7 courses. This would be impossible to recover and still be able to perform well in my midterms which will begin on the 12th of November “less then a week away”. So now it obviously and clearly makes more sense to freeze my semester which cost $290 USD which we have successfully done. Also my next installment of about $800 USD would be due this week latest 9th of November and we were still a little short on that at the time which would have resulted in me being unable to write my midterm exams smoothly. Yes I was disheartened and felt like I had lost out but after sometime I realised that it was the best thing to do given the circumstances. Thank you to everyone on board this campaign it still makes me emotional when I think of how you guys have stood behind me. Deeply humbled and truly blessed. Lots of love. Asad the Architect.

Good day beautiful people. I hope my message finds you well. Small update we are currently in the process of withdrawing the 1.5k from the go fund me site and once we have it we will make a direct payment to the university. It will cover the first instalment and a little of the second instalment as well. Thank you once again for the continuous support and love.❤ We will get there. Lots of love ..Asad the Architect
