Michael Marthaller CANCER BATTLE

Everyone knows what cancer is -  and everyone knows it is a battle that the whole family fights. Michael was diagnosed with Gray Zone Lymphoma in October 2018. Gray Zone is a rarer form of Lymphoma, a cancer of part of the immune system. It is called "gray zone" because it has features of both Hodgkin lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin. An accurate diagnosis is challenging & Michael had to undergo two bone marrow biopsies, among other testing.  His PET scan revealed cancer in several areas. On Monday, November 5th,  Mike had a port inserted into his chest & this is where he will receive his chemotherapy treatment. He will start chemotherapy this week (Nov, 8) and have a full day of chemo once every two weeks. This is subject to change according to how he is responding to the chemo cocktails & he has chosen a wonderful doctor in Corvallis. This account is for medical bills, treatments, and for everything in between that will help Michael, his wife Jen, and their two daughters to fight and WIN this battle.  Mike & Jen are expecting their first grandchild this winter, & their youngest daughter is in 7th grade.  This wonderful family has a LOT to live for...& we will be at their backs supporting in any way, through it all. Both Mike & Jen are continuing to work - with Mike planning to work as long as he can.
