Arty Kojoyian Battles Brain Cancer

Donation protected
Thanks to all of you who have assisted Arty Kojoyian my friend and neighbor. Your help has overwhelmed Arty and Nancy as they fight this battle with inoperable Primary CNS Brain Lymphoma.

It is Thanksgiving week and it is the time of year we examine our lives and count our blessings. Blessings come in many forms from the grandiose to the simplest things in life. When we are faced with health issues we are thankful for each day and many of the other things in life become less important.

Arty has completed his chemotherapy, his bone marrow transplant and is at home working to gain back his immune system and is in physical therapy to increase his lost strength. He still cannot drive or work.

Arty has been out of work since March and the money raised has sustained them so far but the bills keep coming and health care costs are high.

I’m here to ask, once again, for you to dig into your hearts and your pockets to help Arty and Nancy.

Many thanks to all for your generosity. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays!

March 2017 Post
Arty Kojoyian is my friend and neighbor.  Arty is known for his kindness and wit. He is always there to help a friend or stranger. He loves his children and Nancy. He's the happiest when at the beach surf fishing or beach combing.

Arty needs our help. Three weeks ago he went to the doctor because he was weak and had a tremor and was immediately admitted to CCU (Critical Care Unit) at our local hospital. After a battery of tests (MRI, CAT scan, Spinal Tap and finally a five hour biopsy) the diagnosis was confirmed as Primary CNS Brain Lymphoma.

Meaning, he has a brain tumor. It is in the middle of his brain and it is inoperable.

The treatment will be intense chemo which will require him to stay in the hospital for up to five days for each of seven treatments with a break in between. He will also undergo a bone marrow transplant.

While the outlook is optimistic with this aggressive treatment, Arty will not be able to work while he is undergoing the therapy regimen and will face insurmountable medical bills which will be difficult to pay.

Many people have asked “What can I do to help?” A donation to help offset some of his fast rising medical bills would be greatly appreciated.

Please help Arty to beat his cancer.
