Reno's Artown event the 17th Annual Art Paws needs your help!
Pennies for Art Paws.
Do you love taking your dog to Art Paws each year? Do you love that this event is "for the dogs" and Artown's only "Bring your dog day?" Did your dog compete in one of our contests? Did you enjoy your time with your K9 best friend listening to live music, hanging out at the event and sampling our beer garden suds at Art Paws?
Did you know that Art Paws almost didn't happen in 2016 and we are struggling to make a go of it in 2017!
Due to a substantial increase in the cost of liability insurance and the amount of insurance required and other related expenses, we were nearly forced to cancle the event in 2016! The City of Reno stepped up to help by lowering our required amount needed, which helped, but only slightly. And we will have the same issue this year.
Do you want to attend Art Paws this year? If so, WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!
We are hoping that our animal loving, Art Paws attending community will step up to help support Art Paws, where proceeds directly benefit our two Art Paws Underdog Grant Winners and the People's Choice Contest winner, chosen by popular vote at the event. Check out our website in March to find out which organizations will fetch our $$$ in 2017!
Please consider donating a small amount. Even at $ .25 per paw you brought or are considering bring to Art Paws, just $1.00 per K9 best friend, would make a huge difference. If only half of the paws donate we would still reach our goal of $2500.00 to cover the cost of insurance and related expenses.
Any amounts donated over the initial $2,500.00 will directly support the 2017 Art Paws Underdog Grant winners, the Art Paws People's Choice Contest and potentially an additional dog park in Reno. In 2016 the Underdog Grant winners were; The Rosa Project and Feeding Pets of the Homeless. The People's Choice winner was the US Wolf Refuge.
Please help up continue this annual Reno Event!
