Arthur Miles medical expenses

One of our beloved team members, Arthur Miles, collapsed at work and was taken to the ER. Arthur just had a heart attack less than six months ago, so we feared he was experiencing another heart attack. After the doctors ran tests and examined him, they discovered a growth on his kidney which was causing him to suffer from internal bleeding. The doctors quickly worked on him to stop the bleeding in his kidney, as he was losing a lot of blood each day. This toxic growth on his kidney could take Arthur’s life if he does not have it treated immediately. Arthur needs to have his kidney removed ASAP.

Arthur Miles is a crucial part of the success of both Acre and Bow & Arrow. He has served on our team for over two years. In a world that pushes for self-pride, Arthur’s humble heart always puts the team first. His work ethic is never about himself; it’s about making sure he does what is best for the whole team. As Restaurant Manager Stephen Pierce recalls, “Everyday I walk into the back door of Bow & Arrow, Arthur is the first person to greet me. I always ask Arthur how he is doing that day.”  Arthur always responds, “The sun rose up and I’m alive. God is good. It’s gonna be a good day, Stephen.”  Arthur always has his sight on the bigger picture. For Arthur, being a working man isn’t just about making money. It’s about enjoying what you get to do and taking care of those around you. We have been blessed to have Arthur on our team for over two years, as he has taken care of us and made us better. Now we want to help take care of him.

We are very grateful for the staff and doctors at EAMC in Opelika as they have taken great care for Arthur. Unfortunately, Arthur will need to be relocated to UAB to have his kidney removed. Between the medical bills of his recent heart attack and the current medical attention he needs now, Arthur is also facing the burden of all the costs of being sick. With all the procedures that he is needing, he could be out of work several months. We are asking you to be a blessing to a man who is a vital team member of the Acre and Bow & Arrow family.
