Art Show Equipment Fund
Donation protected
My name is Noah Polk, I am 22 years old and I am working to make art my
career. I am curating a group of very talented multidisciplinary Chicago
artists who will be exploring South Chicago identity inside of a new show
I hope to present in the next year called "Manifest Truth".
My portion of the exhibition will include a video, print photography, and
ceramic works. With my work and this show I hope to take important steps.
With my curation I hope to help other artists do the same, and contribute
towards a worthwhile conversation for the communities that have supported
me and my growth.
With your support I hope to upgrade a few pieces of my photo equipment
that I and others inside of my exhibition will ultimately use to produce
exhibition pieces and documentation of the show, to share after the
experience is over. I do have some older digital equipment, but am looking
for this support to help both me and others produce better quality work
and documentation of our efforts.
I was supposed to graduate in 2017 but things haven't worked out that way.
I haven't given up on college, but in the meantime, producing an
exhibition featuring a group of peers will give me a valuable experience
outside of school, something that will help me learn while I chip away at
college credits.
All sharing, promotions, and donations are something I hugely appreciate
because I see it as you supporting me and an important topic, my peers, my
communities, and our lives as Chicagoans.
Thank you,
Noah.
