Art Lovejoy's Medical/Cancer Fund

After a routine colonoscopy, Art Lovejoy, Master Carpenter with Dave Voelker Design & Construction, Inc., was diagnosed with Stage 2-3 colon cancer. Art has since learned that the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes.
The treatment will be chemotherapy and radiation for a minimum of 28 days to start. Surgery is possible at the end of his treatment depending on the outcome.
Art is the primary breadwinner for his family. He and his wife Diane help take care of their grandchildren, Artie age 8, Violet age 6, and Stevie age 3. Art also takes care of his 85 year old father.
Although Art is gainfully employed by DVDC, he has already missed a significant amount of time at work due to doctor appointments, a series of MRI’s, and testing. Once the chemotherapy and radiation treatments begin on March 28th, he will miss a minimum of 12 - 16 weeks of work. Art’s health insurance and sick pay will not be enough to cover his medical bills and expenses, (i.e., a $2,000.00 co-pay each time he receives a prescription for the chemotherapy pills).
All monetary donations will go to Art’s basic living expenses, health insurance deductibles, testing, doctor appointments, prescriptions, co-pays and other
out-of-pocket expenses.
Art is a loyal, honest, humble, loving, endearing, and generous “salt of the earth” man; he is one of the best people we have come to know over the last 20 years. With the support of his friends, family, customers, business associates and those fortunate to know him, we are optimistic about his treatment and his future. Any donations he receives from your generosity will be genuinely and wholeheartedly appreciated. Thank you for helping us to support him and his family as they endure this difficult time.
