Kamil Art Gallery, 8 Stars Monaco, Fight Aids Monaco and H.S.H Princess Stephanie join forces for an exhibition to fight the scourge of HIV / AIDS around the world.
From January 25 to March 8, 2019, a retrospective of the famous New York photographer Jordan Matter, « Make It Matter » will be held at the Kamil Art Gallery in Monaco! A unique event through which we wish to raise awareness and advance the cause of the Fight Aids Monaco association against AIDS and thus address the psychological and financial issues, the isolation faced by many people living with HIV, discrimination that many of them still suffer, their pain often hidden and kept to themselves.
In 2010, Princess Stephanie created the House of Life in Carpentras in France, a place of rest, respite, healing and prevention for people living with HIV. Throughout the year, the association organizes 15 days individual or theme stays, offering reconstruction, energizing and strengthening of the quality of life.
Having proved its usefulness and effectiveness, the House of Life is in great demand and has thus welcomed and supported 1200 people living with HIV in 8 years. This clearly shows a real need expressed by HIV-positive people to have such a place for listening, support and sharing.
The House of Life operates only on private donations from companies or sponsors and on the success of fundraising events organized by FIGHT AIDS MONACO. Taking care of a group of 15 people in the House of Life for around of 15 days is about 30 000 €. The House of Life does not benefit from any public funding.
For this reason, we ask for your support and your generosity to support the House of Life, the only structure in Europe where people living with HIV can pause and gather their resources in the face of everyday difficulties.
Indeed, we wish to mobilize and continue to highlight this cause which unfortunately still needs your increasing support.
All the funds raised through this Prize Pool, which will take place on January 25, 2019, will be donated to the Fight Aids Monaco association.
