Sgt Aron Thompson's Medical Fund

Donation protected
On Thursday, May 18th, my brother-in-law and Marine Corps brother, Aron Thompson, was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia.

This comes as a shock to us all, especially to his wife Jennifer and young children Teddy and Penny. But in addition to being a father and a Marine veteran, Aron is also a Sergeant with the West Lafayette Police Department. So if anyone is strong enough to take on this challenge it's him.

Aron's currently in Indianapolis getting the best treatment available, and although it's a long and difficult road ahead, we have every belief that he'll pull through with flying colors.

Many people have asked us if they can donate money for Aron's medical expenses so we started this page as a way for people to donate directly to Aron if they so wish. Any money collected here goes directly to the Thompson family.

And of course, in lieu of donations, we'd like to recommend that everyone donate blood or platelets. That's a gift that could help many other people as well.

Here's a message from Aron:

"I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support. I have an amazing support system of family and friends (blood, blue, and green), and I can't stress that enough. It has been very humbling, to say the very least.

Leukemia will not hold me down, I've still got a lot of life to live and more fight to put up than this cancer can possibly imagine. I'm a Marine, Police Officer, Cousin, Son, Grandson, Nephew, Brother, Friend, Husband, and Father. Each title I already own will help me fight through this to earn a new title: Leukemia Survivor!

You probably won't see many posts or messages from me throughout the early part of this battle but Jenn will keep everyone updated when possible and pass along your messages to me. We have a long road ahead of us and I want to thank you for staying in the fight with us along the way.

Thank you all, again. Love you all and can't wait to see you when I'm healthy!"
