Arjuna Zender Surgery Fundraiser

On Easter morning 3-year-old Arjuna Zender lost mobility on the left side of his body. He was brought to the emergency room in Marquette, Michigan and then subsequently flown to Ann Arbor Hospital to have specialized tests and brain surgery.
Arjuna is the 3-year-old son of Ian Zender (Third Coast Builders) and Alexandra Kravola (Sakra Clothing) of Marquette, Michigan.
In the days preceding his medical emergency, Arjuna had been complaining of headaches, sleeping a lot and wasn't his usual rambunctious self. Arjuna had the flu in the previous week and the doctor thought he was dehydrated.
The family woke up Easter morning to find that Arjuna couldn't move one side of his body which led to an emergency room visit. He was given an MRI at Marquette General Hospital that showed bleeding in his brain. Subsequently, Arjuna was flown to CS Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Ian drove down to join the family at the hospital. Arjuna has since regained mobility in the left side of his body. He then started to have seizures due to the large amount of blood and pressure in his brain and was taken into surgery on Saturday, April 27th. He has come out of surgery, is recovery well and his parents should hopefully have more information soon on the cause of his medical emergency. They will have follow-up appointments in Ann Arbor in the coming weeks to make sure there is no more bleeding.
We feel very optimistic about the future for Arjuna, but with any unexpected medical emergencies, there are unplanned for expenses. Expenses include travel to and from Ann Arbor (340mi one way), hotel stays meals away from home. In addition to direct expenses, there is a loss of income for the parents being away from work. Also, potential unknown medical expenses not covered by insurance.
