Archers Wedding Fund Stolen

Mel and Luke recently moved into their new home together.  Mel has catalogued their journey to their new home and they have both been saving hard for their wedding.  Sadly, a couple of days ago, their home was ransacked and burgled.  Alongside their personal possessions that were stolen was just over £3,000 in cash which they had been saving for their wedding and they also stole Mel’s car which was SORNED on her driveway.  They’ve both had their knuckles wrapped by myself and others for not putting this money on a bank!! However, we have all made mistakes and these two are a young couple just starting out in life and have learned a HUGE lesson. Mels car, bring off the road was not insured but it was in very good condition and worth about £2,000.  They have had to prioritise their finances and their house insurance was more important than the car.  The car was recovered yesterday but had been involved in an accident and it’s more than likely written off. Sadly, the house insurance won’t cover their car or most of their wedding fund so we are asking our archery community to help these two young people get back on their feet and their wedding back on track.  Please, do not berate these two, they are absolutely devastated, especially Mel who is finding it really hard.  They did not deserve this as they work so incredibly hard to save for everything they have, including their home.  If you can spare a few quid to help them, they would be incredibly grateful to you all.  We are not just Archers, we are a community who also pull together to help others.  Thank you in advance.  Amanda.   Ps.  They don’t know this has been set up.  For clarity, I’m a friend of Mel and Luke and a fellow archer too and live just down the road from them, in Taunton, Somerset.    The funds raised will be placed back into Mel and Luke’s wedding funds and I will transfer the amount to their new bank account when the campaign ends
