Arbutus July 4th Parade

Dear Friends,
The Arbutus Fourth of July Committee is once again planning for a great celebration! For many years our parade has been run by Mr. George Kendrick. Last year Mr. George advised the community that 2016 would be his last year. His selfless efforts and dedication will never be forgotten. Many community members have stepped in to take over the reins. Our parade takes many months and hundreds of volunteer hours to coordinate. That's the easy part!
The parade depends on the kind contributions from our community members. This years parade is estimated to cost upwards of $30,000. In addition to permits, insurance and other expenses, having a great parade is hard work and expensive! It's not widely known that many of the parade groups actually charge a fee for their participation. In order to have a robust parade for all to enjoy, we do seek the finest groups available. Times have indeed changed! Our community and businesses have always contributed generously and we once again seek your support!
The committee is humbly seeking your financial support by contributing whatever amount that your financial position permits. Private donations are at the cornerstone of our success. Your donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated! Please consider donating and help preserve our 4th of July tradition.
